Frequently asked questions
General
We recommend a professional furnace cleaning every 1 to 2 years, depending on your home or business environment. Homes with pets, smokers, or recent renovations may benefit from more frequent cleanings to maintain optimal air quality and system performance.
Most residential furnace cleanings take 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the system size and level of buildup. Larger commercial systems or those with extensive ductwork may take longer to ensure a thorough, detailed clean.
Over time, dust, debris, and allergens accumulate inside your furnace and duct system. This buildup can reduce efficiency, strain your equipment, and circulate pollutants throughout your space. A clean furnace helps you save energy, extend system life, and breathe cleaner, healthier air.
Common indicators include:
Dust buildup around vents or registers
A burning or musty smell when the heat turns on
Uneven heating or reduced airflow
Increased allergy or respiratory symptoms indoors
Higher energy bills without clear cause
If you notice any of these, it’s a good time to schedule an inspection.

Yes absolutely and it is highly recommended for lower energy use and improved air quality since our furnace is used most during the colder weather. Full furnace cleaning, filter replacement and dryer vent cleaning can all be done as long as the weather is not below minus 10. This way we avoid any cold air coming into home while furnace off and pipes will not freeze during shut off time.
